How to choose your circuit in Équateur?

Duration largely determines the possible combinations. A circuit of 13 to 17 days allows you to combine two regions: Andes and Amazon, or Andes and Galápagos, while keeping two days for acclimatization in Quito at the start. To include all three main regions without rushing, plan for 18 days or more, reserving 5 to 8 days for the archipelago. The southern Andes with Cuenca and Cajas National Park deserve to be added as a loop on the return from Guayaquil. We design each itinerary based on your altitude tolerance, travel season, and main interests.

Different types of circuits

Our cultural itineraries highlight the indigenous markets of Otavalo and Saquisilí, weaver workshops, Andean cuisine, and Ingapirca Inca ruins. Travelers seeking adventure head toward climbing Cotopaxi or Chimborazo, rafting in Tena, biking in the Mindo valley, or diving at Isabela. Our family circuits feature short stages, child-friendly lodges in the Amazon, and Galápagos stays with supervised activities from age 7 onwards.

What is the best season?

For the Andes, dry season runs from June to September with clear peaks in the morning and temperatures around 18°C during the day in Quito. The Pacific coast is best enjoyed from December to May, warmer and sunnier, with humpback whales from June to October off Puerto López. The Amazon remains accessible year-round, rainier from June to August. The Galápagos have no bad season: calm, warm waters from December to May, cooler waters but rich in marine life from June to November.
